Who We Are
We are a community being reminded that, because of Jesus, we are now Loved by the Father. We are actively learning how to love each other and bear with each other in life as we reach out in tangible grace ways to the people around us.
What We Believe
We believe that God created the world and that it was Good. We believe that because of the original sin of Adam and Eve, we now live in rebellion to the way that God had originally wanted things to be. Because of his love for us, He set in motion a rescue plan that was fully realized in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. Because of Jesus, there is forgiveness, healing, hope, and a restored relationship with the Father. When that rescue becomes a reality in our lives by grace through faith, we are given the gift of the Holy Spirit.
We Believe that the Bible is the Word of God. It is in this book that we see the story of God’s redemptive work for his people through history. It is our foundation for understanding and teaching of who God is (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) and what His forgiveness means for us today.
Because of the sin of Adam and Eve, we are all born with a sinful nature. We can never earn favor or forgiveness from God on our own. It was only by Jesus’ death on the cross and his resurrection that our sins are forgiven, and we have a restored relationships with the Father. This forgiveness is purely a gift given to us. That gift is called Grace.
We have been saved by Grace and are invited to be on this eternity-impacting mission with God. We are called to follow God and allow Him to proclaim this rescue mission through our individual and collective gifts.
Grace was won for us in a very Tangible way when the Word, Jesus (John 1), became flesh to dwell among us. That Tangible Grace continues with the Word & Water in Baptism and the Word & Bread/Wine in Communion. The sacraments, Baptism and Communion, are Tangible Gifts that God has given us, forgiving us of our sins, adopting us into His family, and strengthening our faith.
