TGSunday (Serve the Community)
March 31 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Join us for TGSunday on March 31!
On the fifth Sunday of the month, we gather together to worship while we serve our community.
For this TGSunday, we’ll meet at church and will get to choose how to serve:
- Helping homeowners with Live, Love Allen,
- Finish tying knot blankets, or
- Collecting, organizing, and distributing much needed items for the homeless.
The home project will include removing clutter large (trucks needed) and small, as well as trimming trees and bushes. The husband just had back surgery, so he needs our help lifting, as well as with other tasks. This project is good for adults and children 8 and up.
Younger children and parents can finish our blanket project.
Also, with the cold weather we’ve asked our friend Ann, who works with the homeless, to give us a list of needs: Gloves, hats, blankets, bars of soap, water, and flushable wet wipes. Please bring what you can!
If you can’t join us on March 31, you can bring your contributions before our event and give them to Tiffany Giordono or Phil Fowler..
Come join us as we work to show God’s tangible love for the community around us!
We serve because He first loved and served us. Our goal with TGSundays is to not only be Tangible Grace to the community around us but also be a catalyst for mercy to grow in our own lives. Our prayer is that the Spirit would help us see opportunities to love and serve others in the days and weeks between TGSundays.
